As he was looking for new materials to showcase his unique designs in early 2015, Swiss designer and illustrator Philipp Sidler became aware of his fascination for scarves and their unique quality: versatility. He realized they could be wrapped around the head, tied around the neck, or even worn as tops, which is exactly what makes them the love-now-channel-forever accessories they are.
A new luxury accessory label was born.
Original fine prints for demanding women
Each Philipp Sidler scarf starts with original hand-drawn illustrations, usually in pen and ink. Like true pieces of art, they are then converted into digital files to be colored, repeated, mirror imaged, collaged and combined to create the final layered print. The steps to creating digitally printed scarves are long and complicated, but the end result mesmerizes every woman with great fashion flair. However, the brand will not limit itself to scarves, as it is planning to expand its range in the future. Expect to be surprised!
Stand out from the mass
If we say our scarves are exclusive – we really mean it. Therefore we limited each design to 500 units. Cause we think one core value of high fashion accessories should be that you can be sure that not everyone else around you is having the same designs as you.
Be unique with a bespoke scarf that tells a story
Bespoke is sophisticated. Anything with a personal touch is original and precious, and we love to offer our customers personalized scarves or shawls with a touch of whimsy.
If you want to commemorate special events, such as births, weddings or birthdays, Philipp Sidler will make them memorable with a unique fashion accessory. Whether it’s a date or a meaningful motif added to an existing design, or a scarf created from scratch exclusively for you or a loved one, send us your idea and we will be happy to custom design an exclusive chic gift for you.
Indulge in smooth and luxurious eco-friendly fabrics
Another important aspect of the brand’s philosophy is the responsibility towards environment. As a consequence, Philipp Sidler scarves are mainly made of Modal and Cashmere – fabrics that meet the brand’s highly ethical and eco-friendly standards.
The excellence of a “Made in Italy” fashion accessory
One of Philipp Sidler’s core values is to keep production local and ethical. And what better place to print and hand-finish luxurious fashion scarves than stylish Italy?
The label’s exquisite scarves are entirely produced in Como, Northern Italy, known as the world’s most qualified district for high quality fashion accessories.
Modal is a processed bio-based textile made from reconstituted cellulose from beech trees. It drapes beautifully, it is soft as a feather, and is a delight to wear on the skin. Since its smoothness makes hard water deposits less likely to adhere to the surface, it will stay soft through repeated washings.
Cashmere is a fiber obtained from Cashmere goats and other types of goat wool. Collected during spring moulting season when goats naturally shed their winter coat, this is the warmest, lightest and most luxurious fabric ever. Nothing speaks high fashion better than cashmere.
